Radetzkystrasse Festspiele 2026

Splitartprojects conceives and implements the cultural program “Radetzkystraße Festspiele 2026,” connecting artists and their works with the City of Vienna, the 3rd district, and Radetzkystraße, while promoting the city’s architecture and built environment and strengthening local businesses and enterprises. Centered on Radetzkystraße and the surrounding 3rd district, the program invites residents and visitors to experience contemporary art through exhibitions, events, and spontaneous interventions within a distinctive urban setting.

Radetzkystraße and Vienna’s 3rd District, the Center of Cultural Life. The exhibitions and activities take place in the heart of the city, on the historic Radetzkystraße dating from 1860, in Vienna’s 3rd district (Landstraße). This district is known for its architecture, its connection to the imperial era, and its development into a vibrant neighbourhood. The area, also known as the “Radetzky Quarter,” combines historic buildings, modern residences, and traditional Viennese restaurants, an ideal starting point for a dynamic program of events that further highlights Vienna’s living fabric of cultural and political heritage.

The continuous and uninterrupted use of residential and commercial spaces serves as a stimulus for the participation of local businesses in the cultural program. Curators and artists from Austria and abroad collaborate during the events to engage both local and international audiences.

Art creates a new relationship between residents, visitors, and their city.
Splitartprojects’ initiative emphasizes artists and their works as a vehicle for the awakening of contemporary urban culture. “Radetzkystraße Festival May 2026” aims to offer a new perspective on the history of Vienna and, above all, to renew the relationship between residents, visitors, and the city through engaging art exhibitions and events.
